The origin of Tapas glass covers is in Spain, originally when it was hot weather and drinks were plagued with flies, wasps or mosquitoes a slice of bread or ham was placed on top of a wine glass to stop anything falling into it.
Spending time in Spain gave me the idea of a new form of decorative tapas glass cover, made from wood, bamboo, paper and foam. As a lady using an open glass rather than drinking from a bottle, it leaves me feeling vulnerable, both at home and away, not only from flying insects and dust but in this modern age, from humans adding unwanted substances to my drink.
So the Tapas style glass cover was born! π·
I always use it on my bedside water glass now, to stop flies and daddy long legs falling in, and at parties or clubs the glass can be covered, leaving the other hand free. It fits most wine, cocktail, Prosecco, water glasses and also cups and mugs, but the cover should not touch the liquid.
It can be wiped with a damp cloth to clean but should not be fully immersed in water due to the decorations, it comes with instructions and can easily be posted for distant gifting.
Please keep away from young children and pets due to small parts which choke. Β©οΈ
