Have you ever wanted to try a new craft or improve on what you already know or just to make new friends ? Now you can. They are held once a month and more classes will be added as needed.

We have a new venue for this year, The Spanish Lady, pub and restaurant , Longridge Avenue, Saltdean, so easy to get to from Brighton , Peacehaven and further on, buses stop nearby and there is road parking for drivers.

The workshops will be taught by Simone Howard, an adult education tutor for many years. Making something is very therapeutic and good for mental wellbeing, you can make items for yourself, family or friends and the skills you learn will stay with you for life. At the same time, you can enjoy yourself in a relaxed friendly environment and make new friends.

ALL WORKSHOPS MUST BE PRE-BOOKED AS SPACES ARE LIMITED, BUT HOPEFULLY THERE WILL BE SPACE FOR EVERYONE WHO WISHES TO ATTEND, AND IT IS A GREAT PLACE TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS.

Make an Art deco coaster with print and paint. We will stamp an art deco image then paint and assemble it onto a coaster to use for cocktail, wine or water glass or for a candle.

All materials are included for each class, but please bring your own small sharp scissors and for papercraft ones bring a glue stick if you prefer not to use pva glue, and if possible a plastic or paper mat to glue on, will save on clearing up at the end.

Workshops will include beginners patchwork, making dream catchers, fairy garden teacups, print/paint/stamp on fabric, pop up cards, and others. I will also be offering the wellbeing courses if enough people are interested which include basic nutrition, lifestyle, problem solving, relaxation techniques and guided imagery, all of which can help to make your life happier and more fulfilling.
