I loved this sage green teddy bear fur jumper, but since losing weight it just sat in a cupboard.

I decided to turn it into a winter jacket and loved the pattern on a cotton shirt my daughter gave me to use.

I cut off the button and button hole placket from each side to use as am not keen on making button holes, then used the main body of fabric to cut to shape on the back shoulder yoke area and two pockets for the front.
Next I cut straight up the centre front of the jumper, as it is not knitted it did not have to worry about fraying.

Using a straight stitch on the machine I sewed the cotton fabric on the back, then the button strips and finally the two pockets. I love this beaded fringe from my collection, so added that across the bottom of the back yoke. The original buttons were tiny, so removed them and replaced with cream wooden buttons.
It is now ready to wear again in the winter .
